“The presentation is world class and deserves the global recognition it is sure to receive.” Alec Hogg, CEO, Moneyweb Holdings

Patricia Glyn is a South African eco- adventurer, writer and inspirational speaker. She’s a former radio and television broadcaster, her books are best sellers in her home country and her keynote talks are highly sought after locally and internationally.

‘Off Peak’ is her account of the Discovery expedition to Mount Everest in 2003. ‘Footing with Sir Richard’s Ghost’ is about her 2 200 kilometre walk along the 19th century hunter/trader routes to the interior of Africa.

Her ancestor, Sir Richard George Glyn and his brother Robert came to African in 1863, lured to the continent by David Livingstone’s recently published account of his ‘discovery’, The Victoria Falls. Armed with Richard’s diary and with her African dog by her side, Patricia shadowed the 1863 expedition of her forebears along the river systems of South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

In April and May of 2011, Patricia spent time in the Kalahari with the Khomani Bushmen, recording and archiving their heritage sites in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and assisting the elders of the community in teaching the youngsters about their history and fast-disappearing culture.

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Dawid Kruiper on 12 June 2012. He died in a private hospital in Upington, Northern Cape Province, of several illnesses and traumas that had caused him much pain for a long time. Tragically, Dawid will never see Patricia's book about his extraordinary life, nor the documentary that Richard Wicksteed is currently cutting with funds raised on We deeply mourn his passing while celebrating his efforts to get the Khomani San/Bushmen the justice and redress that they have been denied for centuries.

We believe that both the book and film will bear testimony to Dawid's deep knowledge of his people's history and culture and equally deep love of the Kalahari wilderness.
